When someone gets their income taxes done (specifically in Ohio) is there a sales tax that is added to the cost of the preparers fees. If so is it charged on the total amount due/refunded or on the charge for the tax preparation itself?

I recently became a Texas resident and paid sales tax to Texas on a car I purchased. Is that state sales tax deductable from my federal income taxes (Texas has no state income tax)?

I am trying to find out a way to compare my current NET income to what I could potentially NET back home. All of the salary comparison websites do not accurately calculate my tax exemption status and cost of living (lower) here in Germany.

My guess is that I’ll need to almost double my salary as I’m not paying most taxes here in Germany. Here’s some more info about my situation.

1. Income tax exemption – I don’t pay US or German income taxes. I’m exempt from both. I’m not paying US state income taxes either. This probably saves me at least 30% every year.

If I live in NH which does not have a sales tax and buy an auto in MA which does have a sales tax do I pay MA sales tax or would there be no sales tax due to the fact the car would be registered in NH?
